Renovation (Office Building Conversion) to Residential Apartment Units located in Oxon Hill, Maryland. CECA performed Building and ADA, Mechanical, Electrical, Fire Protection and Structural Inspections during Demolition and New Construction and provided inspection coordination for this project. Occupancy is slated for late in first quarter 2019. The Oxford project transforms a former 10 story office building into 187 luxury apartment homes. This adaptive reuse includes upgrades to the building’s exterior aesthetic and renovation of the interior to modern residential standards, while keeping the steel and composite structure intact. With residential units options of studio, one-bedroom, one-bedroom with den, and two-bedroom apartment units, all including energy saving plumbing and lighting fixtures and quartz countertops. The Oxford amenities include a fitness center, cyber café, pet care facility; lounge, courtyard, Dog Park, and entertainment room on the tenth floor with unobstructed views of Washington, D.C. Just one mile from the District of Columbia line and inside the Capital Beltway (I-495), residents are close to an array of neighborhood amenities and minutes from the MGM Casino and bustling National Harbor neighborhood.
